The impact of tourism on the environment in Costa Rica

I’m going to write about a specific place named is “Peninsula de Papagayo”. This place is in Guanacaste, just 30 minutes from the Costa Rica's Liberia International Airport. There is a wonderful mix behind nature and luxury constructions. At the beginning of the peninsula you can see a big entrance with different kind of plants and good security station. Then you drive under a paving stone around the peninsula of Papagayo. In the road you have the opportunity to enjoy cool ocean views, luxury houses and amazing hotels.

Why, I started to write about all wonders of Peninsula Papagayo. Ok, the answer is simple. Because is an ecological city. Is true that peninsula has big hotels and luxury mansions but all of these constructions were built with a regulatory plan to preserve this treasure. It’s incredible but the person who wants to build something, needs to make many different paper-works to comply with environmental laws set.

Currently, the majority of constructions and hotels are in foreign hands and it’s hard but they are more careful than Costa Rican people. Obviously the population who attends the hotels are Costa Ricans and they transmit to tourists the importance of preserving our flora, fauna and landscapes.

English Skills on Class

Nowadays, we have many different tools to learn English for example: you can

find English programs only conversational or conversational and grammar.

Another technique is to go to USA or another country where they speak in

English.

I think the professor has an important role in classes in my opinion the

 professor must be very dynamic, interactive, spontaneous and professors from

 many countries. Because all of them talk different.

Finally, the English programs could be better if they included watching movies,

 listening music and them writing the lyrics, writing letters and speaking a lot

 but remember, not all the people learn the same way.

Freestyle Motocross

The freestyle motocross began in the 90’s by different riders who wanted to modify the traditional competition of motocross. This discipline consists in making diverse tricks while the motorcycle is on the air when the riders jump. They use many typically gears of the same they use Cohen riding motocross race. These gears are: helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, jersey and MX pants

 

Many riders have a lot of accidents while training and running. One case happened here in Costa Rica; two years ago with a famous rider whose name was Jeremy Lusk. And I say “his name was”, because when he crashed in “Red Bull X-Fighters”, two weeks later he died in a hospital in L.A. These kinds of news or accidents are very sad for the freestyle. 

 

Nowadays, this extreme sport gathers thousands of people to enjoy the exhibition of different tricks in diverse sceneries and countries. I like it very much. It’s very exciting to watch on T.V. and still more on live. Maybe in the future I could practice this extreme sport.

 

Factual Report on Crime in Costa Rica

“blanca y pura descansa la paz” with this phrase ends one stanza of our national anthem. Nowadays, these words maybe sound very ironic. Because every day al Costa Rican people can read on the newspapers, very impressive events happening in the streets of the country.

In all of the countries of the world happened crimes, theft, assaults and abuses. Costa Rica it’s not an exception, but is considered one of the most peaceful countries of Central America, according to a report made for “La Republica” newspaper. People, who live in Costa Rica, can enjoy a good environment of liberty. Fortunately, this is a country that doesn’t have an army.

Costa Rican people need to put their hand in theirs heart and begin to contribute with denouncing all acts for corruption, violation or crime to put the bad people in jail, who want to cause that this country become an easy place to rob.

Advertising in Costa Rica

I chose this advertisement because it’s very creative and original. Also because it is made in Costa Rica by “Tribu”, publicity agency.

In the ad, you can see that there is something new on the web. You can upload a photo and make a preview of the color in your space that you will paint. Besides, “Pinturas Protecto” shows more than three thousand colors to select promo. In the web page for this ad you can interact with your twitter account.

Also, in the ad you can observe many different colors, people, spaces and obviously paint. The music is very intense. Another reason why I selected this ad is because is it English and it’s very difficult to find ads in this language for study

I would like to give an apologies for did attending at Sello Verde of the last weeks. To be more specific, I didn’t go to any.

I totally agree that the students of the university must attending and complete the program with five or ten Sellos Verdes. Also, I think the student don’t be to believe that to attend to a sello verde is an obligation unless they are told but they can go, could be learn a lot.

I’m going to be compromise with the professor and the University to go at the next Sello Verde. But it’s very difficult for me, because I work in the afternoons and most of them they are in the night.
